This unique programme of a Yoga Bike Adventure leads through impressive landscapes of Nepal and combines daily Yoga and stretching sessions with a mountain bike adventure in the Jomsom Muktinath region - a mountain biker's paradise in the midst of the Himalayan mountain ranges. This experience offers a good mix of challenging uphill, breathtaking downhill, technically demanding single track routes and a variety of cultures and traditions.
The Jomsom-Muktinath Trail leads through the world's deepest gorge of the Kali Gandaki River, which separates the massive peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The trail crosses local settlements and suspension bridges, passes wide river beds and some very narrow paths of the Lubra pass. This is a trail with spectacular views of valleys, hills, mountain rivers, waterfalls, rugged landscapes and of course snow-capped mountain peaks. Muktinath is considered a holy place by both Hindus and Buddhists with its temple 'Mukti Kshetra', meaning 'place of salvation'. Jomsom and Kagbeni are the gates to the Upper Mustang restricted area. In the vicinity of Jomsom, the Tibetan Plateau-like landscapes around the former Upper Mustang kingdom give a taste of the Tibetan culture and traditions in this trans-Himalayan region, which is protected by high passes and mountain ranges from the monsoon. A dramatic change of scenery can be seen North of the Himalayas near the Tibetan Plateau with a seemingly naked and rugged landscape and predominantly Buddhist culture.
