Traditional yoga with gentle and classical practise elements follows a coherent structure from guided initial relaxation through breathing practise (pranayama), joints and physical exercises (asanas) to guided final relaxation, whereby the content is varied. The yoga practice is meditative as a whole. Settle in during the initial relaxation for your "appointment with your Self". Allow your brain and heart to come to rest during the breathing practises. Feel how you can release stress and physical tension as well as build up strength during the physical exercises. Experience the beneficial effects of yoga unfolding in your whole mental, emotional and physical being during the final relaxation.
Meditation (dhyan), singing mantras (chanting) with or without music instrument support, yoga of sound (Nada Yoga) in the form of chanting or sound experience with singing bowls as well as guided deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra) are important components of the traditional holistic yoga practice. They can be integrated into the yoga course or gain their very own space with special workshops. Meditation helps to center the mind and bring the mental activities to rest. Singing mantras helps calming the mind and nervous system as well as opening the heart. The sound and vibration waves as well as the deep relaxation support the relaxation of mental, emotional and physical activities.
Regular yoga practice can help you to get to know and perceive yourself better. You can become aware of your patterns in posting, moving, thinking and behaving which is essential for your further inner development.
I offer gentle and classical yoga. Gentle yoga is for (re-)starting after a longer break, in case of health limitations or simply if you wish to get to know yourself in a gentle manner. Classical yoga requires a generally good condition, with or without previous yoga experience.
